WaxClub
Like choosing a 7" single on a jukebox: every plugin is a colored record with a code (L1, S2, C1…). Plugins carry no code — each one only switches on a feature that already comes with the app, so nothing is ever run on your phone.
Song lyrics are creative works protected by copyright: they belong to the songwriters and their music publishers. Showing them in an app normally needs a license from those rights holders.
This is general information, not legal advice. Copyright rules vary from country to country.
.lrc — synced lyrics: each line starts with the time it is sung, [mm:ss.xx]..txt) are not used: WaxClub only shows lyrics that follow the record.Best: put the artist and the song title in tags at the top of the .lrc file.
If the tags are missing, the file name must be Artist - Song.lrc (space, hyphen, space).
[ar:The Beatles] [ti:Here Comes the Sun] [al:Abbey Road] [length:03:05] [00:00.80]Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo [00:05.10]Here comes the sun, and I say [00:08.90]It's all right
Without tags, the same file named The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun.lrc works too.
Write the artist and title as they appear on the record; capitals, accents and "The" don't matter.
[al:] (album) and [length:] (song length) are optional.
Keep your files in a cloud folder that your computer already syncs. WaxClub updates your lyrics every time it
opens (or tap Sync now): new and changed files come in, deleted files go away. Subfolders are fine
(e.g. The Beatles/Abbey Road/).
Dropbox/Apps/WaxClub. WaxClub can see only that folder.OneDrive/Apps/WaxClub.
WaxClub can see only that folder.WaxClub Lyrics anywhere in
your Drive and save your files there. Google asks to let WaxClub read your Drive (Google has no
app-only folder); WaxClub only opens the WaxClub Lyrics folder. No need to share folders on your home network. Your lyrics are used in the position of the S5 plugin in your panel, like any other source.
Only add lyrics you have the right to use. WaxClub shows them only to you, on your phone and your TV, while your record plays.
